The introduction to “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle” takes us to South America in 1936. We meet some old acquaintances.

Start in the jungle
After the introduction, you take direct control of Indy in the dense forest. Follow the obvious path until you come across a pile of bushes/shrubs that you can interact with (Quick Time Event / QTE). After the cutscene, continue following the path through the jungle, keeping an eye on birds and sightlines in case you lose your bearings. You will reach the camp of your colleague Forrestal and take his notes. Work your way up until you come to a marked tree, where another short cutscene will be triggered.
Cave, climbing, and temple entrance
After the tree sequence, follow a path up to a cave entrance—use edges and ledges to climb up. Another cutscene follows, after which your squad gets even smaller. In the cave, follow the tunnel until several QTEs are triggered (e.g., evasive movements or catching debris). At the end of the cave, you will reach a precipice. Behind the precipice, you will encounter the first large trap area before the treasure room – this is where the floor tile puzzle begins.
Floor tile puzzle at the Golden Idol
You are now inside the temple in front of the golden idol. There are various stone slabs with symbols on the floor. Only step on slabs marked with a circle/symbol—these are the safe areas. Avoid all tiles without this symbol; incorrect tiles trigger arrows, spikes, or other traps. Work your way tile by tile to the pedestal with the idol. Interact with the idol by adjusting the weight of the bag to successfully take it.
Escape from the temple
After grabbing the idol, the escape sequence starts automatically. Turn around and run back down the corridor – keep moving. Shortly before the exit, you will come to a large gap/the familiar abyss. First throw the idol to your companion, wait for the cutscene to finish, and then jump over the abyss. After the jump and the subsequent cutscene, you will need to run again.
Congratulations – you’ve mastered the prologue and are moving on to the next chapter (“Marshall College”).
